It focuses on theproblems in the progress of urbanization and the mechanism of factors’ effects, and onthe basis of what it forecasts the development trend and summarizes optimization policyResearch shows great differences existed on the town distribution density and itdivides the whole country into three patterns, which is the fast-developing urbanizationareas, urban agglomerations in developing, and the slow developing areas. During theeleventh five years, the percentage of flowing population in the total population hasbeen keep growing, which has triggered significant consequences in the cities’ impactscale and direction, and may push new forms of regional city. The distribution of citiesvaries in different parts of the country in functions, types and zone bit, as well as thequality of foreign investment utilization. Currently the aviation network system hasdeveloped to a relatedly mature level, which has a high relevance with the city sacle andgrade. The high-speed rail construction has just started at present, and the matureurbanization areas, such as the big Beijing urbanization regions, the Yangtze RiverDelta regions and so on, all have frequently connections during its internal parts.However, high-speed rail’s national level of regional influence has not been formed,lacking the ability to improve the location advantages of along cities. But we canforesee that in the future20years, the potential effects on city spatial structure willsurely be fulfilled. Moreover, the globalization of international tide and nationaldevelopment policy is another key factor affecting the city and rural spatial pattern. Thetendency of the world city and global city will accelerate the adjustment of Chineseindustrial structure and the orientation of core city.Suggestions are given according to the analysis achieved above. The fastdeveloping areas should put emphasis on the orderly network of urbanization regions,and strengthen the construction of the world city Beijing and Shanghai. As to the in-developing areas, it must undertake the traffic trunk lines and strengthen thecultivation of the city center, promoting the joint concentration of small andmedium-sized cities. For the slow urbanization area, the focus can be put on thepriority of major cities, and then gradually spread to the whole face domain.
