With the development of modernization, the Engineering walking vehicle will play amore critical role in modernization construction. The Engineering walking vehicle, in thiscircumstance, is required to be capable of low working speed, stability and high-speedtransportation. Aiming at the requirement mentioned above and the limitation of thetraditional transmission, the method of hydro-mechanical transmission box is studied to meetthe requirement.Based on the cooperation between the Shaanxi Automobile Group and Chang’anuniversity, the control system of the hydro-mechanical transmission box is investigated in theresearch. Firstly the working principle of hydro-mechanical transmission box is analyzed.The control requirements of the hydro-mechanical transmission box system is obtained.Secondly the Siemens S7-200PLC is adopted to be the controller of this system. Then the keycomponents of the control system is determined and configured. Furthermore, the software ofthis control system is designed. The control program and flow chart is developed. Finally thenumerical model of the control system is established and simulated by MATLAB/SIMULINKsoftware. The control algorithm is verified and the parameters of the P I D is put forward byanalyzing the simulation results.
