Study On The Planning Of Rural Communities In The Metropolitan Fringe

With the smooth implementation of the“Eleventh Five-Year Plan”and the quietlyapproaching of the“second Five-Year Plan”, the state policy which fully tilted to the ruralareas has become an indisputable fact. Since2003, the important strategy of “theco-ordination development of urban and rural” was proposed, the related construction of thesocialist rural communities become a hot topic in planning, sociology, economics and otherdisciplines for a time. At the same time, rural planning and construction of new communitieshas practical significance.In this paper, with the new rural community planning of GaoLing as an opportunity, theauthor locks the study area in urban fringe of the Western region of State middle,whichradiation and driven by the large city. Urban fringe area is the city and rural transition zone,agricultural activities and non-agricultural activities co-exist, with the characteristics of urbanand rural areas. Firstly, it defines the related concept about the rural community. Then,itdiscusses the "community development movement","neighborhood unit","the newurbanism","community contact and the space" and related basic theory, and the domestic andforeign relevant case in new rural community planning for the content. it provide reliablebasis support theory for the rural community planning, which based on the characteristics ofbig cities fringe area, and finally, it analyses the rural community planning should payattention to the research on four aspects: the space layout, function layout, open space andstreet space. From the case of Dongfang community in Gaoling, it explors rural communityplanning rationality and the planning of the content and method.Because of new rural community hard to seek a common planning mode, this paper onlyhope that through research, exploring a Promotion planning ideas and other parts of the newrural community planning to provide reference for the construction and reference.
