For the problems of tandem-drum vibratory roller with respect to non-uniform amplitude,unsteady amplitude, power overlapping in starting process and excessive impaction, theanalysis to such problems in the point of view of controlling plays a critical role in improvingthe quality and comprehensive properties of tandem-drum vibratory roller.The key control technologies of14t hydrostatic tandem-drum vibratory roller are studiedin this paper. Based on the working principles and property index of14t hydrostatictandem-drum vibratory roller, control schemes are established on the requirements of controlsystems and the hardware select is achieved, then the control system is developed under theCAN bus and RC6-9controller. The control algorithm and procedures of the key technologieswith respect to driving speed and direction control, flexible starting control, vibration control,inertia load control, spray control and communication control etc. are developed and designed;The models of electro-hydraulic system of14t hydrostatic tandem-drum vibratory roller aresimulated by AMESim software, and the variation characteristics of power dissipation ofvibration and driving system adopted flexible starting control and inertia load control methodare obtained by simulation models. By ways of online debugging, simulation tests and fieldtests, the system function and performance of the machine are studied. The results ofsimulation agree well with that of tests so the reasonability and credibility of the model isverified.
