Before a roller takes up regular service, the tests on its running and vibratingperformance are always considered as indispensable key in production processes ofRollers. At present these tests of the roller are mainly accomplished in the outdoorexperimental base by most roller manufactory. The testing method of experimentalbase has some defects which limit the speed of roller testing and affected efficiency ofroller production. In order to speed up the test and improve roller productionefficiency, the paper design the roller drum tester which reference vehicle drum tester.Basing on mechanical system dynamics theory,the paper mainly focus on thefollowing aspects of research by the method of combination of virtual prototypesimulation analysis and physical prototype experimental research with the mechanicalsystem simulation software ADAMS.(1)Manufacturer’s original roller drum has been tested which obtain workingparameters and analyzes the advantages and defects of the drum. The purpose is toprovide basis that design to meet the requirements of the work for the drum tester.(2) The mathematical models of second-order vibration system concerned withthe roller tester and the vibration roller are established. According to the roller testerrequirement, the stiffness value of the drum tire should be4×10~5N/m and stiffnessvalue of vibration isolators should be9.68×10~7N/m which calculated by theoryanalysis. Based on the isolation design principles, it could be obtained best effectwhen isolator is symmetrical layout even, which accord with the isolation designrequirements.(3) The total plans of the design for roller tester are accomplished, based on themain requirements and design principles of the roller tester. The solid models of theroller tester are constructed numerically by Pro/E software, and the solid models areanalysis for obtaining the conditions of their interference. Processing trial-producedthe physical prototype of turntable before of the tester, which could accomplish rollerrunning-vibration test.(4) The multi-body dynamics simulation models of the roller tester is build by technology of date exchange between Pro/E software and ADAMS software. Theaccuracy of the simulation model is verified by comparing with experimental datesobtained from the physical prototype of the tester. On the basis of the multi-bodydynamic analysis on the simulation models, the main dynamics parameters areobtained, Obtained that the drum driver by double motor are more favorable to thetester working smoothly, which provide criteria for design of physical testingprototype.The paper provides with a valid method to design and research the roller tester.The obtained conclusions provides with the references to the evaluation of productand the design of other complicated mechanical devices. |
