Epoxy grouting repair materials enjoys diverse applications in the field of roadcrack repairing due to the high strength, strong adhesion, adjustable operating timeand excellent corrosion resistance. In the present market, the epoxy grouting repairmaterials have many disadvantages such as high viscosity, brittleness and ageing inthe wet and hot condition, and yet the organic silicon resin has goodtemperatureresistance and supple molecular chain.So it is reasonable to modify the epoxygrouting repair materials by adding organic silicon. In this paper, the properties ofepoxy grouting repair material modified by organic silicon which has been endcapped by chemical grafting with–NCO group were studied.The influence of addition of different components on the properties was studiedby mixture ratio experiments. The results showed that the best prescription was25gcuring agent651,12g T-31,40g furfural,30g acetone,2g accelerant per100gepoxy.The synthesis process of the end capping–NCO was studied and the resultsshowed that the best reaction temperature was80℃and the reaction time2.5h. Themodified epoxy was analyzed by SEM,IR,TG and the water absorption and shrinkageratio were tested.The results showed that the shrinkage raised from2.857%to4.125%,the water absorption ratio dropped from0.287%to0.193%, the10h weight lossdropped from9.46%to6.58%and the10-20h weight loss dropped from2.53%to1.69%.The IR analysis showed that the organic silicon was successfully grafted to theepoxy.The mechanical properties and aging resistance of epoxy grouting material beforeand after modification was compared and the results showed that after modificationthe toughness of the resin increased,the tensile strength and the tensile shear strengthis reduced and the aging resistance improved significantly.
