Study On Product Design Method Based On Design Reuse

As global economic integration of the sustainable development and higher customerdemands, the adaptability becomes a key factor of enterprises development. Manyenterprises have opted for product design knowledge reuse methods, namely by improvingthe efficiency and agility of the product design, development and production to reduce theproduction cost and enhance the product performance，and eventually have formed the corecompetitiveness of enterprise. Since constantly development of enterprise informatization,a sharp increase and accumulation of data and knowledge of product design, productdesign knowledge reuse becomes hot research area. However, the actual implementationprocess of design knowledge reuse, due to excessive emphasize on reuse concept, leadingto the lack of innovation, do not achieve the expected benefits in the fierce competition inthe market. How to improve product innovation with the effective use of design reusemethods puts forward higher requirement on New Product Development Management(NPDM).Focusing on the industrial needs in multinational enterprise, through investigation andtheoretical analysis, this paper summarizes the problems of design reuse in the newproduct development management, and proposed a design management method based ondesign reuse for NPD, then demonstrated the correctness of these theories and methodswith a real case analysis and a prototype system.This paper starts with the technical framework of Product Design Method Based onDesign Reuse, establishes transition-to-design reuse roadmap for NPD. First, through theanalysis of holding company and local company product innovation game, proposed thehierarchy of design reuse model and product reuse tactical decision theory. And thenpropose a design reuse methods in system-level design, which is able to distinguish reuseand innovation components and automatically generate product structure and intelligentconfiguration. This paper puts forward design reusability evaluation model on the basis ofthe research review and gives the instance validation based on AHP evaluation method.Finally, in order to verify the correctness and feasibility the theories proposed in thisresearch, a prototype system is developed an example is provided to application verify.
