The general developing directions of rolling piston type compressor is low energy consumption, high performance and low cost. Oil supply system is an important part of a hermetic compressor, therefore, to improve its performance is an inevitable step in the road of the development of compressors. This paper firstly employed numerical simulation method to research and analysis flow characteristics in the oil supply system, and then committed to optimizing parameters of the oar which is an important component of the system. It is difficult to study the flow properties of lubricant oil and refrigerant in the oil-supply system via experimental study and theoretical analysis. But the numerical simulation is a feasible and effective method. The Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is the way of not only using the computer technology, but the knowledge of fluid mechanics. This paper is based on the finite volume method to simulate above two fluids. Above all, basic information of CFD and gas-liquid two phases flow and solving method of fluid control equation were introduced. Then, physical modeling and mathematical modeling were followed. Finally computer simulation of pumping system with CFD commercial software was run. The numerical simulation applied corresponding turbulent model and two-phase flow model, together with dynamic grid technique.Pumping rate and height could be a norm to assess the oil-supply system. The pumping rate can be defined as the ratio of the distance between oil sump and the part which need lubrication oil and the time used in the process of first oil drop reaching the counterpart. The pumping height is the maximum height where lubricating oil can get to. When implemented the structural parameters optimization of the oar, I mainly compared the pumping height to assess the performance of the systems. The compared simulation experiment is based on varying the structural parameters of propellers, which obtained ISO-curves about oil volume percentage. Then I compared their heights to find the best supply system. Phase interfaces which were gained by means of VOF method in the paper locate in the position of ISO-curves.
