In this paper the main research is the distributed power quality monitoring system based on ARM and a real-time monitoring system which monitor the power quality and predict accident in the distance in order to improve the power quality and provide a powerful basis of the formulation about the corresponding plan of power quality.At first, we introduce the background and significance of power quality, also analysis the research status and future trends of the distributed power quality monitoring system at home and abroad.1、according to the market research and design requirement of the power quality monitoring system device, this paper put forward the power quality monitoring system based on ARM and linux whose control module has ARM as the core and run the embedded real-time system named linux on itself, thus it realize the whole system control management. This paper will describe the system hardware structures and the transplantation of embedded system.2、This paper present the embedded WEB server (EWS) technology based on TCP/IP protocol race which solve the problem that the field equipment monitoring data is hard to transmit to the remote place in order to realize the remote control.EWS with the embedded Linux as the platform and the necessary cut of the TCP/IP protocol race, this paper will focus on TCP, IP protocol design and EWS design.3、According to the monitoring needs of the power quality disturbance types, this paper adopts expert system of prodction rules to diagnosis disturbance types which imitate the reasoning and thinking process of electrical energy experts in order to slove some problem and optimize the process of forward reasoning, finally we get the standard rules and use it to make a judgment and decision making about the realistic problems of knowledge base.
