Inheriting regional culture and molding characteristics city are indispensiblyimportant parts of City Development. Urban landscape construction, as one of the ways toshow regional cultural landscape, has influenced people’s aesthetics of this era and values,what’s more, it plays an important part in improving and advancing the environment quality.Therefore, it has become the leading factor in landscape construction. In modern landscapeconstruction, Luoyang, as the centre of the historical culture, it has not demonstrate itsunique rich resources yet on the whole, on the other hand, it lacks of historical atmosphere,the connection between the scenery spots also lacks of integrity and combination.This thesis takes Luoyang,one has a long history and a distinct character,as anexample to conclude the physical geography、 religion、 historical site、 social viltalphenomena、folk custom and process factor feature, in the same time, this article will alsoapply Field Research、Chart analysis method and Comparative Analysis, summerizing theprogress of design of the regional cultural landscape both domestic and overseas. And thenthe landscape for Luoyang specific research and analysis of the integration of Luoyangcontext landscape strategies for the development and construction of the Luoyang to providethe theory basis, specific as follows.First, put forward the regional cultural landscape of principles.and utilizes sortingtechnique and conclusion, the instructive and meaningful ways in city landscapeconstruction. Aiming at these problems, this thesis come to a concultion that the potentialhistorical context symbols should be put into landscape design.Second, Given Luoyang as an example, which is based on its historical landscapedevelopment and using comparative method,this thesis analysis and conclude landscapefeatures in different times from the vertical aspect, also, it make a comparation with whatmentioned above. And then probe into its problem in construction, for example, it does notgive play to its cultural resources vantage fully; not forming a systmetic landscapeconstruction as a whole; the lack of landscape moldeling, colour, material and place fuction,especially the landscape sketch,failing to express its regional culture, displaced by industrialcopy; deficiency in attention to the life style design of regional landscape.In the end, this article overviews and discusses LuoYang context landscape construction in general, so that it can lead modern Garden design, to highlight LuoYang’sregional cultural feature and its City Identity.
