Research On The Territory Cultural Landscape Design In Waterfront Greenway

Greenway as an important landscape ecological method to coordinate the relationship between people and land has been continuously catching widespread attention. As a special greenway, River plays an increasing important role in the urban development and construction because of its dual function of both the blue ribbon and greenbelt. With the rapid construction of Riverside Greenway in China, it has become the social issues to highlight the historic content and regional culture characteristics of the greenway as well as to build the space of adapting to local natural ecological conditions and representing regional cultures. Based on this, according to the relevant theoretical research of greenway and regional culture, using the methods such as literature induction, field investigation, practice demonstration and so on, this thesis studies the landscape design of waterfront greenway regional culture. The main achievements are as following:(1)By analyzing the particularity and components of the riverside greenway regional cultural landscape, it summarizes the design principles, that regional principle, security and functionality principle and context continuation principle.(2) At first, understanding regional resources, dividing the riverside greenway cultural landscape into two categories:historical site landscape and folk custom landscape. Secondly, summarizing expression method of region features of waterfront greenway, that inheritance of history, enhancement of symbols, native selection and understanding of life. Thirdly, putting forward a construction mode that suit waterfront greenway regional cultural landscape design.(3) At last, taking the waterfront scenery zone in Miluo, Hunan for example, using the expression method and theoretical mode put forward in the thesis. Then based on the region features, specially designing the nodes, plants, architectural sketches and recreation activities of the waterfront scenery zone in Miluo.The author hopes that the research results can provide some new ideas and references for future riverside greenway regional cultural landscape design and practices. As well as perfecting theoretical system of riverside greenway landscape design.
