Because the incomparable advantages, such as high power density, highefficiency, high performance, easy to repair and so on, permanent magneticsynchronous motor (PMSM) has been paid much attention by motor drive systemresearcher and development personnel. PMSM and its control system, has also beenused widely in servo system,numerical control machine, robot, aerospace, marineand industrial and agriculture production industry. At present,in the majorityof variable speed drive system,the most commonly used method is positioned on therotor shaft position sensor.But these sensors increase the cost of the system,reduces the system reliability and durability. Study on permanent magnetsynchronous motor vector control without position sensor as the object of study,This paper on the background of application of sinusoidal PMSM, applying the methodbased accomplished the sensorless on SMO(Sliding Mode vector control of drive andObserver), has researched and control system.The following is main contents of research in this paper:1. Mainly introduces the research background of this thesis and several majorcontrol method of permanent magnet synchronous motor.2. Introduces the structure characteristic of permanent magnet synchronousmotor, gives the permanent magnet synchronous motor under three kinds of coordinatesystem mathematical model, the vector control theory in detail, and the implementof the SVPWM technique.3. The algorithm of two-degree-of-freedom(2-DOF)PI control was studied andapplied to a permanent magnetism synchronous motor (PMSM) drive. Through theanalysis of simulation results, compared with traditional PI control, based onthe two-degree-of-freedom PI control has fast dynamic response and anti jammingperformance.4. Build a model based on the sliding mode observer for permanent magnetsynchronous motor control system. According to the sliding mode variable structurecontrol theory and PMSM vector control theory,design of sliding mode observerto observe the motor back EMF, and using phase locked loop system for the rotorof the motor magnetic pole position. Compared with the traditional direct method compared, PLL can largely reduce the back EMF estimation in high-frequencycomponents on angle estimation effect, achieve higher precision of the rotormagnetic pole position detection.5. In MATLAB/Simulink environment was built based on sliding mode observerfor permanent magnet synchronous motor control system, and at last carries outthe simulation analysis.
