| Subject to meeting the strength requirement of container floor, reducing its mass andincreasing freight transport are the special requirements for the container floor manufacturing.But the structural optimization design of container floor can solve these special requirements.Based on the analysis of the foreign and domestic achievements and current applicationsituations of the container floor,this article presents a novel structure to replace the traditionalhardwood plywood, that adopting aluminum alloy as the panel, using aluminum honeycombcore as interlayer, which are bonded together,sized and solidified. And in order to reducecontainer floor mass and the energy consumption and enhance the utilization ratio of parts andcomponents, structural optimization and improvement of the new honeycomb container floorare needed.Bending tests are performed to study the main failure modes and analyse the failurereasons of the trial-produce honeycomb floor. The research shows that bending properties ofthe integral layer and strength properties of the honeycomb core have great influence on themechanical properties of the honeycomb floor. The design optimization modeling of the floorstructure should take the above factors into account.According to the structure optimization design criteria of the container flooring, thispaper constructs the evaluation functions based on the four objective functions which arebending property, strength requirement of honeycomb core, natural frequency of freevibration and mass of the floor and four constraint conditions which are stability condition,buckling extreme condition,bear strength condition and stiffness condition. The optimizationprogram determines the optimization size. Then the strength of the structure is checked andthe result indicates that the container floor can reach the using requirement.Because of its high cost, the new floor is difficult to turn into a large-scale business. Inorder to promote the new honeycomb floor application in practice, improve the flexuralrigidity of the honeycomb floor and increase the inertia moment,this paper presentes a designimprovement which is based on the original design of the honeycomb floor. The sandwichstructure improved includes aluminum alloy panels,aluminum honeycomb core and GRPbeams. This kind of structure has better stiffness and strength than pure aluminiumhoneycomb sandwich structure. And the manufacturing cost is significantly reduced. |
