| With the continuously development of vehicle industry, automotive exterior mirror, oneof the essential factors of automotive safety, its functions also grow stronger and strongercontrasting to the out-of-date detection equipments, which are unable to satisfy the detectiverequirement of exterior mirror. The electric functions of modern exterior mirrors includes:auto turn for mirror glass; turn signal lighting; BlindZone signal lighting; welcome signallighting; ground illumination; temperature sensor; heater pad for dew removal; EC glass(auto-dimming); PowerFold; glass turning with memory; full view sensor; BlindZone sensor.Thus, it is a very important significance of inventing an automotive exterior mirrorsperformance testing instrument which contains all above functions.The abstract briefly explain each function of the exterior mirrors, the performance indexof each function, and the inspection item by the inspection machine. A new inspection methodhas came up through analysis on the inspection method for glass turning angle from home andabroad and the requirements to the glass shape. In order to get glass turning angle, firstly,radiate the laser bean on glass surface by a certain angle, then the glass surface to reflect thelaser bean on another surface which is full of photodiode, the glass turning angle can bededucted by the detection to reflective light spot by photodiode. The arrangement ofphotodiode is determined by CAD optical lane simulation on curvature glass of all kind, thepermitted measurement error for glass turning angle, the glass turning characteristics and theinspection difficulty level on circuit and other factors. The relation between glass turningangle and reflective light of glass of a particular curvature in a certain measurement heightcan be deducted by mathematical formula.The design the circuit of photodiode array scanning and the hard platform of inspectionequipment is based on the inspection item and the array of photodiode. The hard platform iscomposed mainly by PIC16F74,2pieces MAX7300,2pieces MAX1168and other ElectronicComponents. An operating organization is composed by26-channel output,24-channel inputand16-channel16-bit A/D converters. The operation of the check gauge is realized by serialcommunication order by host computer. The software platform is programmed by VisualBasic6.0, which makes curve inspection more efficient, mathematical calculation moreconvenient and operation more simple.Finally, there is a conclusion of the article and suggestions of improvement for nextsteps. |
