With the growth of the national economy, it has also reached an unprecedented period ofconstruction in our country. At the same time, regarding large and one-time investment ofhighway construction projects, especially highway asphalt pavement is too costly. Pavementcost analysis has become an important part of the highway construction project cost control.In this paper, based on the analysis of the pavement surface layer and base, elaboratedthe structure characteristics and road performance of the pavement program of Zengconghighway project. Compare the strengths and weaknesses of the different surface layer andbase materials. Meanwhile, predict the life of this article’s program according to the foreignstudy. Through life-cycle cost analysis (LCCA), Reference expressway cost control at homeand abroad, to build pavement life cycle cost calculation model, application of the modelprogram of pavement economic comparison. Conclusion: Traditional semi-rigid base initialinvestment cost is low, but later maintenance costs are higher. Considering the entire life cycle,ATB Hybrid Base Pavement cost is the lowest. Although the program is a large initialinvestment, but the longer life expectancy, post-maintenance and user costs are significantlylower, recommended ATB hybrid Pavement Structure program.In summary, on the basis of the existing theoretical framework and engineering practices,LCC theories is used in highway pavement cost control, and full account of the beginning of aproject, run, maintain, use until the end-of-life, and it is conducive to the pursuit of projectbenefits.
