The current relay protection function is in a single, and each other is independent, only can sample single point information, can not make the overall judgment, cannot satisfy increasingly complex power system stability operation requirements. Integrated protection can also get all the information in the transformer substation, can make the judgment ability get protection overall improve greatly.So, this dissertation spread research revolving around integrated protection of the substation automation system.The paper describes the development of protective relaying, and describes the issues related to substation automation. The thesis introduced the concept, composition, and superiority of integrated protection. This paper is focused on the integrated protection scheme design and presented, and having a thorough study of the main protection and integrated protection with backup protection. The main protection algorithm study includes the following content:firstly, as the traditional view of pilot protection influenced by the capacitive current and that make protection easy to malfunction, the article proposed the protection algorithms based on access to multiple information. According to simulation, the method is not distributed capacitance of the impact of current, and scarcely impacted by the system oscillation. Secondly, the traditional power directional protection is greatly impacted by load capacitance and the series compensation, and has slow motion. In this paper, the longitudinal direction of algorithm based on the principles of energy function is proposed. And it verified the feasibility of the algorithm by simulation. Again, aim at the question that the inadequate protection of sensitive high-pressure side when the transformer fault occurred pressure side, the article proposed transformer backup protection algorithm based on fault component. By confirmation, the scheme not only improved the sensitivity of backup protection, but also shortened the operating time of backup protection. Another, in order to the problem that the conventional line protection because of the time match up with characterization complicatedly caused the sensitivity of backup protection and operating time can not meet the requirements, this paper presents an integrated protection program based on direction information. The program is based on information integration, it not only increases the sensitivity of circuit back-up protection, but also shortened the operating time of back-up protection. And. its simple principle is easy to implement. At last, this paper summarized the proposed integrated protection, and prospected the integrated protection for the application of intelligent substation.
