This paper is to study the change of Available Transfer Capability for Power System including large-scale wind farms. At present, the induction wind turbines have become the dominating type. This paper summarizes wind power on power transmission capacity of the available from4following aspects:the reactive power consumed by wind power generator, the voltage of the node which wind farms connected grid, the ratio of wind farms to Power System and Power System transient situation. According to the relation between load distribution and power flow feasible boundary, a optimization model of power system, this paper first establishs a optimization model of static power system based on Interior-Point Method to calculate Available Transfer Capability, using IEEE-14as a example. We draw the curve of ATC changing during24hours to compare the trends of ATC and draw conclusions. Second, builds a optimization model of transient power system based on Interior-Point Method to calculate Available Transfer Capability, using IEEE-39as a example. We also draw the curve of ATC changing during24hours to compare the trends of ATC and draw conclusions.
