Research Of Urban Commuting Greenway Design Based On Commuting Travel Behavior Theory

The decline of environmental quality in urban habitat and the surge of urban transport system pressure have made people constantly look for the green, low carbon travel mode and lifestyle. The development of the greenway construction is an important way for people to improve the environment of urban green space, build urban ecological networks, promote green and healthy travel and practice low-carbon life. The construction and development of public bike rental system in the case of a low-carbon transport will greatly ease the pressure on urban traffic. For the booming bicycle travel mode, a strong demand by commuters has been put forward to build non-motor vehicle interference, continuous bike lanes and related infrastructure facilities.This paper made a research based on the characteristics of travel behavior theory and commuter travel behavior, through the analysis on the theory and practice of Green Road at home and abroad as well as commuter greenway case, combined with the development of urban public bike rental system, first proposed the greenway concept to meet the bicycle commuter travel demand, and here has learned from urban greenway planning and design methods and principles, associated with the relevant norms of the greenway construction specification documents of Guangdong Province, and the healthy greenway construction of Chengdu, to explore the principles and methods of urban commuting greenway construction, providing a reference basis for the application and research of future commuter greenway in domestic cities.The core part of the paper is the study of the urban commuter greenway planning and design, including theoretical exploration and design. The theoretical exploration has studied the concept, function, and line selection, specifically designs and analyses the commuter greenway road planning and design, node design, public services facilities, and lighting systems, forming a set of specific program design patterns of the urban commuter greenway planning and design, both operational and with reference guiding significance. Finally, this paper took the planning and design of Chengdu Guanghua Avenue commuter greenway as a case, based on which to make an empirical study of the commuter greenway planning.
