Study On The Travel Behavior Of Commuter

Commuter travel is the most basic and important trip. Compared to other travel, commuter travel is more unchangeable in time and space. The timing of commuter directly impact on urban residents' life and other travel options. Especially with the expansion the scope of urban employment, the increasing distance of commuter travel, the gradually extended commuting time, so that the commuter travel increasing complex. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and study the characteristics of travel behaviors, aiming at grasping the law of commuter travel and improving the traffic environment commuter travel.In this paper, the research status of commuter travel at home and abroad is reviewed firstly which is based on activities chain as the main line, and the significance of the research on the commuter travel behavior based on activities chain is expatiated. According to the third residents travel survey data of Beijing, Haidian district is taken as a example, first the characteristics of the residents commuter travel is analyzed. And then obtain the residents' commuter activity chaining database by uniting and refining the commuter travel database, and analysis the activity chaining characteristic of commuter duty is analyzed. Trip selection model has been constituted in this paper by utilizing the discrete method. In this paper, the significant factors which influence the commuter trip modal selection are also determined, and the model parameters is explained. Finally, activities-chain selection model of commuter is constituted and the factors which influence the commuter activities-chain selection are analyzed by making the commuter activities-chain as analysis unit and considering the overall effectiveness of the activities-chain.According to residents' travel behavior survey, and taking the commuter's travel behavior character as an study object, by utilizing some new analysis method, such as method based on trip, method based on activity and so on, the travel rule and characteristics can be elicited, which has very important reference value for us to constitute and implement the travel demand manage policies, and solve the trafficcongest problem.
