Intelligent traffic signal controller play key role of in the intelligent transportationsystem. It usually receives information from vehicles on the road, to controller trafficlights, to communicate between it and traffic command center for realize regionalcoordination control. So, it is not only unit controlled but also actuator. Intelligent trafficsignal control machine function directly affects the ability of road traffic management,urban development.Intelligent traffic signal control machine research is of profoundsignificance. For effective to control traffic, Intelligent Traffic Signal Controller combinestraffic information collector, software, hardware intelligent algorithm and the coordinationcontrol of traffic command center functions etc. The thesis includes four mainly parts:Firstly, in order of real timing monitor passage of road vehicles and provide thenecessary data to intelligent traffic signal controller for the intelligent decision, so,designed Loop Vehicle Detector. The thesis elaborated the function, classification andcharacteristics of vehicle detector. Through highlighted to introduce the way detected ofLoop Vehicle Detector, to use detection of the frequency comparison method and to embeduIP protocol stack implement networking vehicle detector design.last, the thesis show totest and to analyze resultSecondly, under the effective access to the information of road vehicles, design focuson traffic signal machine itself. The device applied S3C2410ARM as core processor anddesign various peripherals circuit as hardware of Intelligent traffic signal controller andsoftware by transplant u-Boot,Linux,yafft2which is a computer file system andembedded database management system SQLite.The thesis gives details of the variousparts of the design process and the main codeThirdly, for the sake of achieving intelligent control of traffic signals, to apply gametheory to traffic signal control so that effectively solves the conflict of traffic control. Inthis thesis, described in detail which the origin of the game theory, history, developmentand basic aspects of composition. It Combined with the characteristic traffic signal foranalysis, deduce and intelligent control strategy obtained and implement by program.Fourthly, for each intersection management and control mode of the signal of trafficcommand center will greatly influence the effectiveness of regional transportationmanagement and data exchanged, as result of change of traffic signal machinedevised.This thesis briefly discusses the case-based reasoning (CBR) of the artificialintelligence algorithms applications in the command center. It includes combined with thecharacteristics of traffic signal, CBR theory analysis and design case.Finally, this study, the shortcomings of the design and the need for further research weresummarized.
