The Old Factory Space Transformation Mode Under The Perspective Of Sustainable Update Theory

With the development of The Times, urban spatial structure is also undergoingchanges. The settlement of the old factory and large tracts of idle factory buildings,warehouses and other industrial buildings was required. These old factories record thehistory of the development of human industrial civilization,and exist historical,artistic and scientific value more or less. Gradually, people realized that the presenceof its value, and then changed the concept of factory construction, began the pursuitof praise and nostalgia on the civilization of the industrial age, until the emergence ofthe "Loft" cultural, so that these old factory buildings and the creativeindustriesperiod of the event generated a lot of old plant transformation case. Thefunction of these buildings have been re-positioning, a series of transformationmeasures make the old factory once again glow with vitality.Loss of the original production function, old factory building itself and itsinterior space has provided a brand new possibility for today’s urban renewal. Facingthis possibility, how to renovate the existing space, and create an application andeconomic space to accommodate the needs of the new function.. From the aspect ofuse, the practice that the replacement of the function and the injection of newelements, giving new life connotations to the old factories, making it become thecarrier’s of tertiary industry and the creative industries, is a way of urban renewal.From the perspective of the space transformation, the space carries information toretain new spatial information contrast, the new and existing informationsuperimposed, not only to retain the historical context, but also left the people of thepresent historical blot to deal with. How to meet the immediate requirementssimultaneously be reserved for the future possibility of sustainable development,which should be of concern in the spatial transformation of the old factory.Firstly, this article sorts out the development of transformation theory of oldfactory space and explores the characteristics of the various stages of research andtheoretical perspectives, which is based on the train of thought of asking questions,analyzing problems, and solving those problems, according to the traditionaltheoretical approaches, expanding the language of discourse step by step. Extensivelycontacts with "metabolism" theory of modern architectural thought, relying on theacademic environment of Hunan University, School of Architecture, Building Technology Department, the content states and analyzes systemly of existingsuccessful transformation sample, deep to the proposed thesis, purified valuable ideas,and strive to sum up the general transformation model. Finally, in the end of the paperthe author introduces a practical proposal, theoretical explanations with engineeringpractice in order to improve the paper structure.
