With the increasingly widespread digital technologies such as big data, blockchain and cloud computing, digitalization has become the wave of development in the 21 st century, and China’s digital economy is booming, with its rapid development and wide radiation range, becoming the core force driving China’s economic growth. The construction industry is an important material production sector in China’s national economy, and the construction economy is an important component of the national economy. It is closely linked to the growth of the overall national economy and the improvement of people’s living standards. However, compared to traditional retail industries, the level of digitalization and greening of the supply chain of China’s construction enterprises is still in its infancy. In the research on the factors influencing the digital transformation of existing enterprises, domestic and foreign scholars usually focus on the fields of retail and entertainment, and rarely focus on the construction industry. There is still great research space for the digital transformation of the construction industry. Therefore, this article conducts empirical research on the influencing factors of digital transformation of construction enterprises, which combines the theoretical basis of sustainable development, but also has certain theoretical and practical significance. This paper first summarizes and organizes domestic and international research on the development of construction enterprises through literature research, reviews research theories related to "technology-organization-environment",draws on the research results and model construction methods of experts and scholars, comprehensively considers various opportunities and challenges in the process of digital transformation of the construction industry, identifies key factors, designs a questionnaire, proposes six research hypotheses and constructs a theoretical model.Secondly,an empirical study was carried out based on the conceptual model.248 valid questionnaires were collected through a questionnaire survey, with construction units selected as the study population. Finally,SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 24.0 software were used to test the validity, reliability, and hypothesis of the questionnaire data. The research results show that technology, organization, and environmental factors have a positive impact on the digital transformation of construction enterprises, with organizational factors being the most significant; The digital transformation of construction enterprises can not only directly and positively affect their sustainable development, but also indirectly and positively promote their sustainable development through carbon emission reduction. Therefore, this article believes that in the era of the digital economy and carbon neutral strategy, construction enterprises should fully understand the digital revolution, promote the digitization and intelligence of production processes through technological transformation, and use digital technology to enable information collaboration between upstream and downstream enterprises in the supply chain to improve construction efficiency.Guide construction enterprises to establish green construction awareness, conduct green management, planning, and design, use high-performance materials, reduce the generation of construction waste, and create an environmentally friendly, healthy, and livable environment. With an international perspective, fully understand the development trend of the global construction industry, enhance the competitiveness of enterprises at home and abroad, and promote their sustainable and high-quality development.
