The Studies In Tectonic Culture In China’s New Regional Architectural Creation

Today, in the contradiction between globalization and regionalization isincreasing obviously. Although the theory of regional architecture appeared on onehand make traditional regional architecture more dynamicly, on the other hand richand development the connotation of modern architecture. And China’s regionalarchitectural creation facing the situation which has simplified than the regionalarchitectural theory introduced in the early years. However, the different theory, stylestill crash our inherent thinking constantly, we need more in-depth understanding tofind what our architecture needs exactly. So with a demand for new culture whichappropriate to local culture，world culture and architecture itself is increasinglystrong.With a new generation of Chinese architects rise: they often have embeddedunderstanding of western architectural theory and confidence of our nativeculture,trying to through the tectonics as a weapon to redefine China’s regionalarchitectural design, so as to establish the ideology of a new culture.Tectonic culture from the reduction of basic--construction, and based on thisarchitecture to explore cultural expression. This kind of thinking mode for today’sChinese architectural design situation provides a new idea: First, it strong to respondto the style for the influence of the architecture; Second, the down-top constructionthinking of traditional architecture provides a new direction for the development;Finally, top-down cultural tolerance in response to the current world culture andregional culture of the collision, the fusion provides continuously new opportunity.Therefore, this paper attempts to through the development and the analysis of theorigin and combining of tectonic theory with China’s new regional architecturaldesign examples to expound the tectonic thought in the new generation of Chinesearchitect’s performance of design concept. Try to find a suitable road of currentarchitectural creation and guide the readers to know the expression of developmenttrend, objective material foundation, the basic composition of the tectonic culture. Inorder to provide architectural creation some reference value.
