With the high-speed railways opened to traffic successively and the corresponding rapidity and convenience brought about by it, China’s economy has seen a tangible growth. And many new high-speed railway construction projects have successively got permitted. High-speed railway traction power supply has been raised from traditional110kV voltage level network to220kV voltage level network. As impact load of great randomness, the influence of traction load on the operation of power systems can not be ignored. With the development of high-speed railway, their impact on grid scheduling is bound to become increasingly prominent.In order to improve the reliability of high-speed railway traction power supply network, it is necessary to analyze the load characteristics of high-speed railways and reliability evaluation method to support grid scheduling. In this paper, it takes the Hunan province section of Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway as example to analyze its load characteristics index and its "negative" load characteristic influence on grid operation. The relationship between traction load and the railway running schedule is studied, and the daily and weekly periodicity of traction power supply load on provincial, regional and line levels is analyzed. Then the statistical error caused by the instantaneous impact of traction power supply load of different sampling frequency is analyzed, the influence of this load characteristic on short term load forecasting and AGC scheduling is studied, a new idea to improve the short-term load forecasting accuracy is put forward.On the basis of the above studies, the reliability of high-speed railway traction power supply network is evaluated by using the Monte Carlo method and the network architecture is simplified, and the scattered sampling techniques is joined to improve the efficiency of assessment. Based on the operational features of high-speed railway traction power supply network, a system status analysis method is presented, and derives analytical formula for reliability indices and sensitivity analysis. Simulation of Hengyang section of the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway shows the feasibility of this reliability assessment method.Finally, the reliability of the high-speed railway traction power supply network under different power supply modes and railway running schedules through reliability assessment is analysed, and the superiority of the current power supply mode is verified. In this paper, it puts forward the priority scheduling model and methods. The simulation results prove the validity of the proposed methods.
