With the urbanization process, urban style and features are being replaced bymodern commercial atmosphere. In the trend of the city exploring and protection ofhistory and culture. Historic Districts as a microcosm of the city history and culture,was paid much attention by the Government and concerns of the community. Tourismuse of the Historic Districts in commercial development after all one of the best model,which is now widely used in a way. However, many scholars believe that tourism toHistoric District into the "over-commercialization" of the situation, a "businessclimate too thick" issue.The author participates in the protection and rehabilitation planning of Jinggang.She is also exploring the relationship between the Historic Districts and businessdevelopment, and has a keen interest and many questions:1. Are Historic District protection and commercial development really "naturalenemies"?Do thy have irreconcilable conflict?2. What is the largest trouble in Chinese Historic Districts at present?3. How many patterns in protection and development of Chinese HistoricDistricts?4. Why is the Historic Districts in the implementation plan out of touch withreality?5. How do Historic Districts and the commercial development achieve win-winsituation?Based on these, this paper is divided into five parts.Chapter1, it introduces the origin of topics, subjects and concepts, and pustforward five basic issues,and explains the framework and research thesis.Chapter2, it shows the phenomenon, identifies problems that currently exist inHistoric Districts in China business issues, respectively, from the business structure,business volume, commercial products, media, business spending five differentaspects of analysis.Chapter3, the interpretation of basic theory and methods, around the commercialdevelopment and historic preservation, it starts on the basic theory of correlation,summarized. It has some analysis and comparison of several well-known HistoricDistricts patterns in commercial development. Chapter4, it is the combination and discussion between theoretical analysis andthe actual project. As one of a design team, the author attempts to combine the town’srevival of the Changsha Jinggang and Taiping Street revival, to explore the HistoricDistrict plan and the relationship between planning and implementation, of theircomplex, contradictory and diverse.Chapter5, in-depth analysis of issues of the relationship between the HistoricDistricts and business development, and looking for an effective way to achieve awin-win situation in historic preservation and commercial development of HistoricDistricts.Conclusion as to supplement and deepen the theory. It points out that the theHistoric Districts need for business, and Historic Districts proposed to achieve aneffective way to moderate commercial.I look forward to, thesis research has some inspiration on the architects, planners,urban managers and developers. Designers during the Historic Districts and recoveryplanning can take into account local residents, government and economic interests ofdevelopers. Developers have in the protection of the premise of sustainabledevelopment, urban managers are among the coordinator,and they should conduct acomprehensive macroeconomic and supervision of charges.
