As the crane luffing mechanism is an important part of truck crane, it has a great impact ofdynamic performance for the specific location and design of its cylinder luffing movement of thethree hinged points linkage design method. The traditional design of truck crane luffingmechanism is frequently used in analogy and experience with the combination of graphical andauxiliary hand-drawing method, the design process is repeated more than a longer period,repeatedly, poor design precision of components, unable to meet the modern truck Crane designrequirements, that seriously hampered the upgrading of products, it is difficult to meet the marketrequirements of rapid response. For the reason of that, the dynamics simulation and stabilityanalysis is done with the truck crane luffing mechanism through the new theory of design andnew method, trying to find a method to meet the design requirements of modern truck cranedesign, simplifying the design process, improving the design efficiency.To solve the problem of vibration impact causing by the boom non-uniform rotation and alarger force of luffing cylinder causing by the inappropriate hinged points arrangement, in thepaper, rely on sophisticated simulation software–ADAMS established a virtual prototypingmodel of crane luffing mechanism, verify the reliability of the model by the dynamic simulation.Using this model the dynamic simulation has been finished and proposed a method to obtain thebest driving function of boom luffing with constant speed. Established the mathematical modelof luffing mechanism three hinged points linkage, get the best result in the dynamic optimizedesign of hinged points arrangement. By using the ANSYS software, the finite element analysisis on to the turntable which is the main bearing part. The analysis result shown the dynamicoptimize design of hinged points arrangement that could reduce the maximum stress of turntablewas feasible and reliable. By finishing the dynamic simulation on the stability of truck crane,made a recommendation in the using environmental condition. Verify the conclusion and methodright and reliable with the example of QY20truck crane. There are two innovations which arethe method to obtain the best driving function of boom luffing with constant speed and thedynamic optimize design of hinged points arrangement in the paper. The method in the paper canbe used in the study of the same type of product design, also can effectively improve the corecompetitiveness of similar products.
