Motor is one of the largest power consumption electric equipments inindustry and everyday life, however the motor industry is facing a hugeinternational competition and challenge now, realize the motor efficient operationis one of the technical problems that most need to be solved currently. In China,the improve efficiency of asynchronous motor have great significance forreducing electric energy and saving energy, because of this, using of magneticgroove wedges is caused the people’s wide attention. Especially in large highvoltage motor, when stator uses the opening slots, after magnetic slot wedge isplaced in slot, the performance of the motor is improved, and the air gapmagnetic permeability uneven phenomenon is improved effectively, play the roleof energy saving.In order to choose to use magnetic slot wedge better, this paper in the sametest condition analyzes and concludes the same motor which is used in differentrelative magnetic conductance of magnetic slot wedge. However, in view of theparochialism of the traditional calculation method, lead to a certain difficulties toquantitative analyze effect that magnetic groove wedges bring to motorperformance, limiting the use of magnetic groove wedges. This paper usesYKK400-6,690kW high voltage asynchronous motor as example, applying time-stepping finite element calculation method, through the field-way-sports couplingto build finite element model to analyze. Making corresponding assumptionsunder the precondition of no influence to the calculation results, separately fromthe theory analysis and model simulation calculation two aspects, accuratelycalculate the influence of different magnetic conductivity (respectively for4and 8) magnetic groove wedges to high voltage motor air-gap flux densitydistribution and the additional loss, on this basis, this paper further discusses theinfluence of different conduction performance magnetic groove wedges to motorelectromagnetic parameters, operation performance, starting performance anddetailed analyzes and calculates the stress state of them which in the air-gapmagnetic field. The results provide theory basis for the correct choice ofmagnetic groove wedges.
