Submersible motor is the power part of submersible screw pump equipment, inorder to adapt to the low speed of submersible screw pump, reduce the transmissionratio and simplify the deceleration device, the low speed submersible motor has beenthe development tendency.The paper designs a six-pole permanent magnetsubmersible motor of the special structure and principle based on the electromagneticdesign of traditional submersible motor and permanent magnet synchronous motor.Also, the design process is redacted to a CAD software by the language VisualBasic.The software has face to face interfaces, also, it reduces the artificialcomputation burden, realizes computer aided design.Six-pole magnet submersible motor has a special segmental structure of longand thin, as a result, part of the parameters calculations and crafts come to bedifferent. Because the structure of magnetic isolation section is complex, the leakagereactance of this area is different from tradition. The paper takes the method ofenergy. A three dimension model of the area is setted up and leakage reactance can becalculated by the energy of magnetic field. Also traditional method of skew coggingor skew permanent magnet is hard to be put into use by submersible motors, thepaper proposes a new method of rotor backward fixing to skew the permanentmagnet, and the method can reduce the cogging torque and it’s harmonic componentby confirmed. No-load leakage coefficient plays an important role in the permanentmagnet synchronous motor electromagnetic design. Through establishing two twodimension models, the paper simulates interelectrode leakage and end leakageseparately to calculate no-load leakage coefficient, and respectively establishes theend section and the middle section of the motor in different models when calculatingthe end leakage coefficient considering the effect of segment structure of submersiblemotor. The result can get the final end leakage coefficient. Then, the no-load leakagecoefficient of the motor can be calculated by the formula.
