With the development of power electronics technolog in recent years, AC frequency control technology has been applied to all walks of life. Because inverter has high efficiency permanent magnet synchronous system and excellent control characteristics, not only can save a lot of energy, but also to further improve the performance of the inverter control for the frequency permanent magnet traction system provides good prospects for development.In this paper, the design of a100kw electric vehicle drive permanent magnet synchronous motor, increase the starting torque and expanding range of issues such as the speed ratio target, and introduce permanent magnet synchronous motor vehicle operating principle, elaborated vector under the control of the motor speed range of the motor in order to meet the motor design points.Then, the permanent magnet synchronous motor structure and its mathematical model is described for the next magnetic field of the permanent magnet synchronous motor analysis make technical preparations. And calculation of electromagnetic field theory for Infolytica, calculation methods and steps described in detail.Finally, focus on the distribution of the magnetic field of permanent magnet synchronous motor, the air gap magnetic field and the Fourier decomposition, orthogonal axis inductance finite element calculation method, and the introduction of the "power-angle characteristics" method for solving orthogonal axis inductance is calculated. For permanent magnet motors applied to electric vehicles encountered cogging torque, back EMF harmonic content of large, weak magnetic speed narrow range of electromagnetic noise and other issues, the proposed use of the chute reduce cogging torque and anti-emf harmonic content, by reducing the magnetization direction of the magnet length and width increased to expand the range of weak magnetic speed optimization program, compared with the simulation results, indicating optimization measures is correct.Summed up a set of design and development of electric car conversion permanent magnet motor design, analysis, optimization methods, successfully applied in electric vehicle permanent magnet motor design.
