Aircraft flexible assembly technology is based on the digital product definition,characterized by the automation and modularization, a new research direction in the field ofaircraft assembly development in recent years. As the key technology of flexible assemblysystem, the digital tolerance distribution technology is a indispensable bridge that connectsdesign, process, manufacturing and assembly. It controls the product performance, cost ofmanufacture, assembly process and so on, is the key of ensuring the assembly accuracy andimproving the product quality of aircraft. The key research works are as follows.Analyze the the influence of digital coordination technology, assembly datum and theintegration of process technology on the error stack-up. Establish a production resource basedon the research of error source, as the foundation of error stack-up and tolerance analysis.The tolerance modeling technology based on the MBD is studied, and a hierarchicalstructure of tolerance model based on the characteristics is built. According to the research ofproduct assembly digital model, a means of auto-generate dimension chain based on theassembly characteristics is proposed, including the search of Closed loop, the judgment of theinereased links or deereased.Based on the study of generating algorithms for the dimension distributions, the analysesand solutions of the swatches, the tolerance analysis process based on Monte-Carlo method isestablished, the manage matters of it is optimized and perfected by adding the theory of6σinto the tolerance analysis.The System structure, work flow, and functional modules of the software system isdesigned and developed by the technology of secondary development of CAA-Based CATIA.
