In the field of aircraft advanced manufacturing technology, the flexible assembly technology have entered all aspects of aviation manufacturing. Currently, it have became indispensable and important researches for each large aviation enterprise. In the work of aircraft assembly drilling, problems of low drilling efficiency, low assembly accuracy, require workers to take drilling equipments and etc., always restrict the quality of products. Specially, for ensuring the pneumatic performance of new aircraft and improving fatigue strength of joints, each aviation factory is about to solve those difficult problems immediately. This topic for independently developed flexible guide automatic drilling equipment, based on the existing conditions, from practical application for ensuring drilling quality and production efficiency, develop the research of off-line programming and process simulation platform.First of all, the concept and development of digital flexible assembly technology are introduced, as well as, economic values and applications of automatic drilling rivet technology and virtual simulation technology with regard to domestic and international aircraft assembly are explained. Secondly, according to the composition and motion characteristics of flexible track automatic drilling system, in the CATIA DMU Kinematics workbench, the kinematics model of drilling equipment is established. Following, the practical applications of product requirement and equipment function, and development overall framework of process simulation platform are analyzed, in the research programs of function modules, special technical requirements and related ideas of the actual operation are illustrated seriously. In the end, the theoretical knowledge of program development is introduced, based on this, using the programming technique of CATIA CAA, on Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, associated operation commands of process simulation platform are added, with visualization and human-computer interaction, Simulate the actual process of products, on the view of digital pre-assembly, Improve the quality of drilling and production efficiency, in the actual production process of the equipment, unnecessary wastage problems of enterprise resource, such as time and materials, are solved, explore the road of reform and innovation for digital flexible assembly of China’s aviation industry, in the development and production of new aircraft, apply the flexible modes of production to intense competition in international market.
