Gear box is important part of Mechanical equipments, the gear box faultdiagnosis is of great significance. Based on DSP embedded fault diagnosis system isbased on digital signal processor as the core, the signal acquisition, data processing,data storage and fault recognition feature set in one of the system.In this paper, using model-based design, gear box as the object of study, analysisgearbox vibration signal characteristics, using TMS320F28335digital signalprocessing chip of TI as the core and peripheral devices to build the hardware circuit.Software uses the Embedded MATLAB Coder, Simulink/Stateflow DSP SystemToolbox to build data acquisition, data preprocessing and communication model;writing characteristic quantities filed function; using neural network toolbox fornetwork training and extracting the right value and threshold; building a neuralnetwork model in Simulink; using neural networks to identify the fault. Connecting thethree models, by MATLAB and CCS seamless automatically, generated code fromMATLAB, load to the CCS and debugging.
