The effect of the carbon dioxide causes the greenhouse serious effect on the environment and climate is more prominent, and how to reduce the emissions of the greenhouse gas has become the focus world today. Carbon capture and storage technology (the Carbon Capture and Storage) is an emerging technology with large-scale emission reduction potential and is expected to achieve near-zero emissions of carbon dioxide. Using the high-pressure pipeline to transport the pure carbon dioxide captured, that is recognized as the most reliable and the most economical way at present. But there are many security risks about the high-pressure pipelines, a lot of research and demonstration work needs to be done before the recognition by the public.At present, people have more in-depth study about the heavy gas or toxic gas leak problem, but for the research about the leakage of carbon dioxide, particularly carbon dioxide leakage of high-pressure pipelines is very little. The experiment is designed to focus on the simulation of industrial-scale carbon dioxide pipeline leakage experiments, the establishment of large-scale carbon dioxide pipeline leak experimental device, choosing different injection caliber flange, measuring the state of the carbon dioxide in the pipeline and the changes of the carbon dioxide in the leakage process, the results can be used for data modeling, that can be used to accurately predict the rate of release of fluid leakage emergency, the range of diffusion and concentration distribution, as well as an emergency safety range of the isolation region.After two years of design and construction, we complete the establishment of the experimental apparatus and make a number of simulation experiments with it, we get the dates of the distribution of changes in the state of the carbon dioxide in the high-pressure pipe and the concentration of carbon dioxide diffusion region under different experimental conditions with the data acquisition system, which has proved the correctness of the design and the practicality of the devices. The test data and results not only can be used to provide the basis for the industrial application of high-pressure carbon dioxide pipelines in security in the future, but also provide the basis and scientific evidence for the emergency plans formulated and relevant legislation.
