The high voltage ceramic capacitor is a kind of capacitor with higher dielectric constant. It has following characteristics:high dielectric strength, in a small size, and with a better frequency characteristic. As the fast development of the electronic industry, high voltage ceramic capacitor has also reached a new seedtime, which means its application will be more widespread. At the moment, the BaTiO3based ceramic is the leading dielectric material. It has a higher dielectric constant, a lower loss and a better stability. So it is significant to research the electricity behavior of the BaTiO3based high voltage ceramic.Model and simulate the internal structure of the capacitor using finite element method, then analyse the regularities of distribution of the electric field and the temperature field when the dielectric has deficiencies,the analysis result will provide theoretical directions for the des ign and lining-up of the high voltage ceramic capacitor. Manufacture the BaTiO3based ceramic dielectric substance with a lead free, cheap, suitable for industrial mass production method. Assemble the dielectric to imitation capacitors used for researching. Design a series of research program to test the electrical performance of the capacitors. The capacitors have an average relative permittivity of140, impedance tangent value less than2%, an insulation resistance of2×108Ω, a withstand voltage strength higher than2kV/mm. And they have good frequency characteristic, good temperature characteristic and outstanding working stability. Put the same experiment on a type of commercial capacitors. Compare the performance parameters of samples with the commercial capacitors. Evaluate the samples and summarize the regular pattern of BaTiO3based capacitor’s electrical specification. Put forward some ideas for designing, manufacturing and using of high voltage ceramic capacitors.
