With the development of science and technology, high-pressure water pumps are widely used in more and more fields. For the purpose of improving the working performance of the high-pressure water pump, the ideal of using the hydraulic bearing on the connecting rod journal of the crank of the high-pressure water pump is proposed. Hydraulic bearing are more and more used in the machinery with high accuracy, for the hydraulic bearing is completely liquid lubricated, which has the advantage of high accuracy, long life to use, small start power and large bearing ability.In this paper, according to the given working conditions, considering the special circumstance of the connecting rod journal of the crank, special structure is designed to meet the requirement of the special hydraulic bearing. What’s more, the oil supply pipes are set inner the crank, which can solve the problem of the oil supply. And then this paper designs the structure parameters of the hydraulic bearing and membrane restrictor. It chooses the appropriate K-β0to meet the requirement of infinite stiffness. During the design, reversed design idea is used to harmonize the oil pressure and the diameter of hydraulic bearing. That is to say, it chooses the oil pressure firstly, and finally it chooses the pressure20MPa for the best by repeated calculation. Based on these steps, the hydraulic bearing and crank can also meet the mechanical performance requirements.This paper analyses the characteristics of hydrostatic bearing in theory, it analyses the bearing ability and the stiffness of the oil slick and gives out the differential equations and transfer functions for dynamic analysis. Then it describes the CFD theory, gives out the equation of the mathematical model of the hydrostatic bearing.In order to predict the pressure distribution and the internal oil flow state better, it uses the software FLUENT to build and simulate the hydrostatic bearing. It builds the model of hydrostatic bearing by PRO/E firstly, and then the model can be led into the preprocessor called GAMBIT to mesh and set the boundary conditions, it exports the mesh file to FLUENT and set the solver and the value of the boundary conditions next. Finally, it iterates the problem until the calculation is converged. The internal pressure distribution and velocity vector can be obtained from the converged results.The design ideas and methods of this paper can provide the reference to other working conditions when the hydrostatic bearing needs to be used on the connecting rod journal. It can reduce the experimental period and the cost, and it has some sense to the practical project.
