CAE Analysis And The Cutting Tools Working Simulation Research Of Full Face Tunnel Boring Machine

Cutter head is full face tunnel boring machine’s key and private parts, on different geological conditions, the corresponding structure of cutter head must be designed. At present, foreign countries such as Germany, Japan has been working on the cutter head deep; In our country, it has just started. So far very few results are published as foreign cutter head technology have been blocked. Now the domestic manufacture of the cutter head is imitative, which lack of theoretical basis for the design and poor work performance. There are no related reports about a comprehensive system of full face tunnel boring machine, especially in disc cutter and the cutting tools’analysis of the finite element model. Therefore, in order to improve our own research and production capacity and lay a good foundation to full face tunnel boring machine’s further study, it is essential to analysis research about full face tunnel boring machine.This paper takes Φ6.28m EPB full face tunnel boring machine as the research object, which key components are used for the intensity and modal analysis, and the cutting tools’working simulation under different conditions are compared, and the disc cutter breaking rock is used for the finite element simulation.First, based on the cutter head overall drive system and the actual conditions of the project, calculate the full face tunnel boring machine’s total propulsive force and the driving torque of the cutter head and research on the cutter head force analysis under the condition of restarting and critical press. Build the cutter head and shield’s finite element analysis model in ANSYS, which is used for the intensity and modal analysis.Then, analyze the motion characteristics and force of the cutting tools, and set up cutting tools finite element analysis model to make simulation. The simulation results of the cutting tools and theoretical cutting force are compared to verify the correctness of the analysis model. Carry on simulation analysis for the scraper and the main cutting tool in different depth, different rack angle and different geological conditions.At last, introduce disc cutter breaking rock mechanism, analyze the force of the disc cutter and build the disc cutter rock breaking finite element model to make simulation, also analyze the different influence of the disc cutter under the different normal force in different geological condition, the cutter ring stress distribution in different depths and the different breaking effect on the different cutting distance.
