In the 21st century, the human society has begun to develop and utilize the underground space in civil engineering field. With the increase of requirement to safety and speed, and the technical ability, tunnel boring machine has been fast used and developed in China. Tunnel boring machine is the main equipment. However, the cutter head and cutting tools are the main parts of tunnel boring machine to excavate the rock and soil, playing a significant role in the tunnel construction.This paper analyzes the mechanical theory of cutter head and cutting tools, confirm the working situations of cutter head and cutting tools and does the relevant analysis, getting the better improvement and more excellent parameter combination.(1)According to the working condition and characteristic of TBM, analyze three kind of worst working situations of cutter head in the rigidity rock surroundings and the mechanical theory of cutting tools, and make the describing and analyzing for cutting tools' forcing situation. Through the parameter of cutter head and cutting tools and requirement of actual engineering project, calculating all kind of directions load of cutter head and force of cutting tools.(2)Making use of three-dimensional creating model Pro/ENGINEER software, according to the two-dimensional engineering drawing of cutter head and doing some necessary predigesting treatment, creating the Earth Press Balance rigidity cutter head off 6.28m, made in some Corporation; and meantime creating the edge model of cutter tools.(3)Taking the ANSYS software as the platform,according to three kind of worst working situations,has carried on the finite element analysis to the cutter head,according to the result determines the cutter head needs to improve the size parameter, and carried on the structure size change to obtain the satisfactory result.(4)Using the orthogonal experimental design theory, designing three factor three level experimental plans which influence cutting tools working intensity. and carries on the cutting circle simulation experiment through FEM software ANSYS,through the direct-viewing analytic method, the multi-factor variance analytic method, two return orthogonal revolving combination testing method has determined the influence disk cutter knife circle working intensity factor primary and secondary order:knife edge width>knife edge angle>knife edge length, and build two return mathematical model, has determined the knife circle parameter most superior combination plan.
