With the development of industrialized society, the demand for energy of fossil fuels isincreasing. At the same time, the energy crisis and environmental pollution problems causeddue to excessive mining and use of fossil fuel energy are more serious. Today, people haverealized the importance of establish a new energy system based on renewable energy, theresearch and utilization on wind, hydro, solar and other new energy are gradually deepening.As a clean and pollution-free, inexhaustible renewable energy, wind power attracted moreand more attention. At present, wind power is the fastest growing, and the most large-scaledevelopment conditions of the technology form in the utilization of wind energy.The resources of wind energy on earth are extremely rich. The rise of wind farms in theUnited States, California in the early1980s is an effective way to large-scale use of windenergy. With the technology of wind power continues to mature and the further developmentof the manufacturing industry, the cost of wind power is declining, the demand is rising.Expected in2020, the global wind power installed capacity will continue to a rapid growthabout20%mean annual. In recent years, wind power industry in our country has developedrapidly. China has become the first wind power nation in the world by the installed capacityof wind power. Due to a late start, the wind power technology still lags behind somedeveloped countries in Europe and the United States, the domestic rate of wind turbine isstill not high, this largely restricts the further development of China’s wind power industry.Among them, how to improve the ability of independent research and development andmanufacturing of wind turbines, become an important topic.In this dissertation, the gear drive system in wind tribune was studied. The study mainlyfocused on the transmission of the planetary gear train in wind turbine. The2K-H planetarygear train in the horizontal axis wind turbine was used to analyze. Structure analysis,calculation of transmission ratio, force analysis, strength calculation and selection of parameters were conducted in this dissertation. Design variables in planetary gear systemwere determined using mechanical optimization design method. Considering the relationshipof volume, weight and size, the minimum volume was used as optimization target. Amathematic model for optimization design of planetary gear was built, the model includedthe limitation of the number of gear teeth, the contact strength and the bending strength ofgear. Through the calculation results of mathematic program, a design scheme and method ofselection of parameters were proposed. The wind turbine with this scheme can minish thesize of wind turbine and reduce the cost of wind turbine.
