With the development of science and technology, technical devices, instead of people’s manual, play a key role in daily life gradually, which causes a lot of workers got the diseases of modern civilization. More and more people realize the importance of exercise. But not any form and any intensity of exercise can achieve the purpose of fitness. Modern scientific research has proved that:excessively intense movement or frequent movement will make an excessive burden on the heart and cause immune disorder. Meanwhile, the body produces a large number of oxygen free radicals, which cause the loss of balance in body’s internal environment and damage health. But if the fitness strength is too small, there is no obvious change in physiology and the trend of Functional ability is not increasing which has little significance in the promotion of health.According to make exercises science and healthy, we designed a scientific fitness training device which uses non-invasive detection of the oxygen saturation and heart rate. The real-time monitoring on the changes of blood oxygen saturation and Heart Rate when people have a rest, exercise and recovery can provide directions to the movement to make exercises in appropriate intensity which is not too large or too small. That is to say, it can help people to obtain the true purpose of exercise through rational、effective and scientific exercises.This paper discussed the Principles and methods of measurement of the oxygen saturation and heart rate based on Lambert-Beer law, which is the Basis of systems design. In the hardware design, this thesis developed a fitness trainer based on the core processor of S3C2410, including acquisition circuit of oxygen and heart rate signal, front analog processing circuit and the minimum system structures of S3C2410. Besides, the corresponding schematic of above is given. In the software design, we take the Linux as the system OS, and build the GNU cross-tool chain which is necessary in the process of systems development. What’s more, we modify and migrates the Linux system and Bootloader. Besides, the paper designs the file system and the program. Finally, according to the calculated oxygen saturation and heart rate,we design the fitness training expert system. The system guide people to get the exercise intensity when they take the fitness training, which is scientific for fitness.
