Facing with the issues of global climate, energy and environment, the reduction of carbon dioxide emission has no time to delay, and has being focused on the topic of governments and experts.As an important part of the urban environment, the environmental quality of residential areas related to the health of residents. Residential District Greening is an important part of the ecological environment of residential district. Residential District Greening, especially the function of carbon sequestration and oxygen release of trees, plays a key role in maintaining the ecological environment of residential areas.The simulation, prediction and quantitative evaluation of carbon removal benefits by trees planting are being applied in the planning and design stage of residential district in this study. The process of residential district planning and design which is based on the carbon removal benefits of trees is being built. This study can provide theoretical and technical support for program in the planning and design stage and quantify the benefit of carbon removal benefits of different tree plantings. Combining with the established carbon removal benefits benefit evaluation system of residential district tree-planting, science, visual and quantitative evaluation can be made for the carbon removal benefits results of different tree-planting. Thus, the deterioration of environment and the waste of human and material caused by the unreasonable tree-planting can be avoided. The evaluation results can be used as a basic to guide the planning and design of low-carbon eco-residential district.The process of residential district planning and design which is based on the evaluation of carbon removal benefits of tree-planting is introduced. CITY green eco-analysis model is applied to simulate and predict the amount of carbon storage and carbon sequestration by different tree-planting. In order to evaluate the carbon removal benefits benefit of different tree-planting, the carbon removal benefits benefit evaluation system of residential district tree-planting which combined with amount of trees’carbon removal benefits and carbon emissions of residential building energy consumption is established. Through our study, a comprehensive, scientific and rational evaluation of residential carbon environment can be made. Our research works will serve as a guidance and reference in the future work of district environmental planning; and will help improving the Scientific, ecology and feasibility of lower-carbon residential district planning.Our work is a kind of research of application basis. The principle and method is scientific and feasible, but still need to be verified, revised and consummated in a large number of practical projects.
