In recent years, with the China's urbanization process and high-speed development, urban planning, urban design and urban construction work maintained a strong momentum of development, the relevant workload is big and wide, the final results directly related to urban function of level, city and surrounding natural ecological environment of quality and quality fit or unfit and quality of urban life. Urban planning and design in the urbanization process, played a key and decisive role, but in our country, the traditional urban planning and design theories and methods of urban ecological planning exists the serious shortage, it causes some urban ecological environment in our country to deteriorate seriously, the functions of resisting abnormal climate and natural calamities are very weak, and the whole society paid a huge and heavy price for it. So far, the planning and construction in most of our cities develop into the deformity, there crowded high-rise building in the downtown, serious ground sclerosis, ecological space is seriously scarce, plus the misconduction of transportation planning and the deficiency of public facilities caused the jam traffic, bad air pollution, the dust storm, the obvious "urban heat island effect", water-logging ect in these downtowns.American Forests developed CITYgreen in 1996, which can quantitatively calculate the indicators of trees on its effect and benefit to conserve the soil and water, purify the air, fix carbon and release oxygen, reduce energy consumption etc. It also can forecast and assess to the urban ecological effect and benefit. CITYgreen has strong function on urban green ecological benefit analysis, and apply for the ecological analysis, forecast and management in some city. But it is still rare to be introduced to urban planning and design work as urban ecological planning of powerful means. In view of present in urban planning and design work, in view of the serious shortage on the quantitative analysis to urban green space of urban ecological impact, to cause many urban ecological environment deterioration and ecological function fragile serious consequences, it's very necessary and important and practical and feasible to introduce CITYgreen into the urban ecological planning and design of green space.This subject research is developed among the small area in the city greenbelt, the area is set to be some neighbourhood. Basing on obtaining the space information and nature information, it will build a data bank and digital model and analyze the structure of its green land, and use the CITYgreen to calculate its ecological benefits and make use of imitated function on the model to predict its ecological benefits in the future. Fuether more, it will state the research direction on the next step briefly.Our research works can be used as a guidance and reference in the work of district environmental planning; widely make use of it, scientific and ecological characteristics of the district planning can be upgraded.Our work is a kind of research of application basis, although its theory is reliable, its means is advanced, its thinking is scientific, the total system should be verified, revised and consummated in the future practical work.
