The project design and parameter determination, rigid-flexible coupled dynamicmodeling and virtual prototype simulation of high-pressure plunger water pump used in wellwashing were discussed systematically. Technical support for the design of high-pressureplunger water pump with high performance has been set up.According to working condition of well washing, the actual problems such as corrosion,internal leakage and wear of high-pressure plunger water pump were analyzed. The axialplunger pump as main structure type has been determined. Technical scheme of eight singleaction cylinders with opposite position driven by cam was adopted.The motion displacement, velocity and acceleration curves of plunger corresponding toGutman and Modified Cosine were followed from the kinematics simulation of two motionlaw of commonly used for engineering. Displacement and velocity of Gutman are similar tothose of Modified Cosine. However, the essential difference exists between changingregulations of their acceleration. Maximum acceleration of Modified Cosine is somewhatsmaller than that of Gutman, but there are mutations for acceleration of Modified Cosine atthe end or beginning motion. The acceleration of Gutman is smoothly continuous and nomutations. Gutman transmission function is suitable to apply in high-pressure plunger waterpump used in well washing with large flow or heavy load.The coordinate equation of grooved cam profile curve with Gutman transmissionfunction as movement law was derived, and design process of grooved cam profile curve wasgiven. Rigid-flexible coupled dynamic model of high-pressure plunger water pump wasestablished by means of Pro/E, ANSYS and ADAMS, and the dynamic simulation analysishas been done.The virtual prototype model of high-pressure plunger water pump used in well washingwas established. The virtual prototype model was verified correctly by setting parametersaccording to actual working conditions. The influence factors of high-pressure plunger waterpump were analyzed in ADAMS, and the influence law was summarized. The contours ofstress and strain under the conditions of plunger by the maximum pressure were followedfrom the finite element analysis of camshaft in ANSYS, and the strength requirement was verified correctly. The constant flow condition of high-pressure plunger water pump wassummarized by analyzing motion velocity of plunger, and the constant flow was verified. Thedisadvantages of flow instability and the pressure fluctuation were solved. The kinematic anddynamic characteristics of high-pressure plunger water pump have been improved.
