As the most frequently used type in super large bridges, suspension bridge hascharacteristics such as large vehicle flow and heavy load. It makes great contribution tothe economy development of China. As the main load bearing structure, anchorageowns great importance. The previous layout of measuring points to undergroundstructure is based on the operation condition of structure combined with engineeringexperiences. Qualitative method is used frequently in quantitative and layout process ofmeasuring points. When designing the monitoring system to geotechnical engineering,expert consultation and similar engineering analogy are often adopted. However, thesemethods must face to a large bunch of uncertain factors, so empirical factors plays vitalrole. Theories and accurate method in quantification and location to measuring pointsare desperately insufficient. For such serious situations, it is very necessary to describeand correct the monitoring system by theoretical analysis, optimization analysis formeasuring points, empirical approach and comparison to empirical method. To sum up,the research on optimization to safety monitoring points carries tremendous importance.In this paper, we use three steps to account for the conclusions. Firstly, seepagecharacteristics and mechanism to stress-seepage coupling effect of geotechnical mediumDepended on Zhongxian Changjiang River Bridge. At the same time, the relationshipbetween permeability coefficient, stress, strain, porosity and structural damage gotfurther analysis. Secondly, we use error function as the objective function to inversionoptimization analysis and analyze the model error and measurement error. From theanalysis, it is obvious that when model coefficient, load coefficient and mechanicalcoefficient is constant, reasonable inversion result can’t be figured out unless data frommeasuring points sensitive to coefficient is used for the basis for inversion. So, theoptimization of sensors is transformed to analysis to structural sensitivity. Thirdly, theanalysis of stress-seepage coupling field to tunnel anchorage in Chongqing side ofZhongxian Changjiang River Bridge. Then the variation of stress and displacement oftunnel anchorage in different water level is got. Based on it, displacement analysislayout analysis could be taken from regional importance theory and displacementsensitivity.This paper introduced optimization to the layout of sensors creatively based onsensitivity analysis. It solves the blindness and subjective freedom in the current layout of measuring points to tunnel anchorage. The result of this research provides positivedirection to the layout of measuring points to tunnel anchorage and even the wholebridge system.
