L-B type composite brake beam is a new type brake beam was installed in railwaywagons in2002; heat treatment is the key technology to the whole production process.The traditional flame heating method has been unable to meet production needs, theheating temperature thermostatically control problem become the most serious issuetroubled enterprise production.The paper has analyzed the lack of flame heating equipment and researched theprinciple of intermediate frequency-influenced heating electric power source of brakebeam, calculated and designed the induction heating coil for the brake beam.Summarizing the relation of intermediate frequency-influenced heating source powerand heating temperature of brake beam, by adopting classic PID control method、PLCcontroller with peripheral assistant circuit, the paper manufactures a automatic controlsystem used on brake beam intermediate frequency-influenced heating. The systemfinally achieves closed-loop control between temperature and power in the intermediatefrequency-influenced heating by real-time adjustment the output power of intermediatefrequency-influenced heating source power. The hardware and software of brake beamintermediate frequency-influenced heating system was achieved.The brake beam induction heating control system has been put into use, theoperating situation on scene prove that the system is stable、accurate and reliable withsmall relative error in operation, improving the heating treatment level of brake beamand manufacture efficiency.
