The main drive control system of the TY05-type AC-DC-AC drive diesel locomotive is developed by Taiyuan locomotive factory, the Internal Combustion Engine-Generators unit with the joint regulation is used as power source, the control strategy of the driving motor is only slip frequency control which dynamic performance is not very well, but the capacity of the internal combustion Engine-Generators unit is relatively limited, and the unit is a large inertia link, when load mutates or operating environment is changed, locomotive is always run down.In this paper, for the shortcomings of the original control system, having improved TY05-type internal combustion engine 200kW power traction inverter control system, the power section is the traditional co-regulator-type internal combustion engine-generator set, traction induction motor makes use of slip frequency vector control, and add a set of internal combustion engine-generator constant power excitation control system and intermediate DC link voltage control system, which with the motor frequency control system achieves locomotive drive system power balance between input and output. The control system according to modular design, improved AC drive system dynamic performance and steady-state performance, that make the whole system coordinate operationally. And then improve locomotive power conversion control systems.This paper describes the development of AC drive diesel locomotive, and in detail analysis of AC drive diesel locomotive transmission structure as well as the energy flow and conversion in the process of transmission. Second, introduced TY05-type AC drive diesel locomotive traction inverter power supply control system, and analysis of characteristics of TY05-type diesel engine-generator set and the whole control process, then has found various system modules problems and shortcomings, exhaustively analysis of the reasons causing locomotive unloading. Traction motor adopts slip frequency vector control method, according to different stages of the characteristics of speed automatic coordinated operation, which makes locomotives constant power control consummated in VVVF control system, and which improve overall system dynamic performance. Increase in the main generator constant power excitation control system, adjusted to achieve traction generator constant power output, in addition increase of intermediate DC link voltage control system, and intermediate voltage control system debugging is explained, so as to make traction motor generator meet the intermediate DC link energy demand. At last, use of Matlab for the system simulation, simulation results show that the program has improved anti-jamming performance of the system, enabling the system to normal and stable work.
