As one of the renewable green power resources, wind power has become an important part of the global energy, and has experienced remarkable growth these years. The number and installed capacity of wind farms in our country also have been increasing rapidly. With the growing of the integrated capacity of wind power, the impacts of wind power integration on power quality and safe operation can not be ignored any more. Voltage stability has become one major factor that restricts the integrated capacity of wind power. Study on the impacts of wind power integration on voltage stability and the integrated wind power limits based on voltage stability is valuable both in theoretical investigation and engineering application.This paper summarizes the steady model of wind-turbine and the model of wind power integration, also completes the simulation of power systems which contain wind farms and power flow calculation by PSS/E.Based on a practical power system and simulation results of PSS/E, this paper uses sensitivity and P-V analyses to compare the different impacts on voltage stability of different wind-turbine types, weather with reactive power compensation, and different outputs of the wind farm. This study explores the output limits of wind farm, integrated wind power limits of transformer station (220kV) and regional network based on voltage stability, as well as the capacity of compensation in wind farm and the power losses of power system with wind power integrated.According to the simulation of power systems which contain wind farms and power flow calculation by PSS/E, as well as the static voltage stability, this paper lay the foundation for further analysis in the influence of large capacity wind power integrated on power system stability and the capacity of compensation in wind farm, Considering the dynamic characteristics of load and many other factors. This paper is valuable both in innovation and engineering application.
