With the rapid development of economy, the railway in freight and passenger transport plays more and more important role.While the railway development focus is mainly on the heavy load, high speed and comfortable passenger environment.Because of the older rail joint can not meet the needs,the rail weld has become mainstream. Continues welded rail (CWR) eliminates the rail joints, and raise the safety and stability of train transport.But in the current railway transport routes especially high speed routes, the most widely used welding process is the flash welding.This paper carried out the research of flash welding joint is of great theoretical significance and engineering background.The seamless rail flash welding orthogonal weld mechanical properties as the research object, combined with flash welding seam structure orthogonal characteristics, established a seamless rail flash butt welding seam of the orthogonal finite element analysis model.The main work is could be describe as follows:(1)Begin with the research background, introduces four kinds of welding technology of seamless rail, describes the focus of flash welding orthogonal weld structure characteristic and welding technology, and reviewed the research progress of seamless rail structure mechanics, finally planned the work of this paper.(2) Describes the analysis of seamless rail flash welding seam mechanical properties of theoretical basis, including the wheel-rail contact theory and the orbital dynamics theory, and quotes based on track irregularity of vehicle track coupling dynamics model of the introduction of actual contact, calculated with wheel/rail parameters, analyses the model when the vehicle speed, wave depth and weld center line and soft pillow for rail distance normal stress effect.(3) In a seamless rail flash welding seam for orthogonal model, using3D modeling software CATIA establish the model, then transfer the model into finite element software ABAQUS, and introduce the model of main dimensions and finite element model of material properties, as well as the finite element mesh generation, fastener simulation, stress loading of such links, establishment of rail flash welding finite element model.(4)With the establishment of a model based on the model of CWR, after loading the wheel load, the main analysis of axle load with four aspects data withl5t,20t,25t,30t four seamless rail flash welding finite element model, and analyses the model of equivalent stress, equivalent plastic strain, contact pressure, contact normal stress welding residual deformation, five aspects of the in-depth comparative analysis.(5)Based on the research work of this thesis, the seamless rail flash welding research results were summarized, then lists the relevant conclusion of the research, as well as the future of the seamless rail flash butt welding seam mechanical properties of orthogonal research work.
