Connector is one kind of functional element which has electrical connection characteris-tics, and also is one of the indispensable basic elements of the circuit system electrical con-nection.Fully automatic soldering and terminal crimping machine, as the main automatic produc-tion machine for assembly connection of terminal and wire in electronic connector, itsprocessing performance determines the connection quality and information transmission effi-ciency of electronic connectors in a certain extent, and ultimately determines the signaltransmission effect.With the miniaturization, multi functionality and macro type development of electroniccomponents, it has higher performance request for fully automatic terminal crimping ma-chine.Currently, the main gap of the fully automatic soldering and terminal crimping machinebetween domestic market and foreign advanced similar equipment is:(1) Equipment produc-tivity and production efficiency is low, can not produce high demand and quality products;(2)Soldering effect is not well, production performance are greatly different, has poor stability;(3) Equipment applicability is poor, processing wire range is narrow;(4) The design of thecontrol system is not perfect, control precision and intelligent level is low.In view of the present main existing problems and the insufficiency of the fully automat-ic soldering and terminal crimping machine, in this paper, mainly focuses on the design, op-timization and research of the mechanical structure and control system, develop one fully au-tomatic soldering and terminal crimping machine which has high speed, high precision, highstability, high levels of intelligent and simple to operate, and finally to the market.(1) Based on the functional requirements of the fully automatic soldering and terminalcrimping machine, optimize the layout of the manufacturing procedure, optimize the equip-ment mechanical structure design and process flow scheme, choose efficient and stable trans-mission system, improve the mechanical properties of the equipment and the movement sta-bility.(2) Studying on the soldering flux moisten and soldering process, choose the best scheme,optimize the soldering process, make soldering homogeneous and beautiful.(3) The controlling system which basic on Mitsubishi’s PLC and GOT interface is de-signed, and is also based on the design ideas of flexible manufacture, Research and design control system which has high efficiency, high stability, high precision and high intelligent, tomeet different control requirements.(4) Based on the fully automatic soldering and terminal crimping machine that designedin this paper, Establish the corresponding technical requirements and test scheme, as theequipment performance inspection standards.
