The separation electronic connector is mainly used for applications like missile and rocket which needs to be separated from suspension device of aviation weapon.When the ammunition is launched by ejection or propulsion,and there is no installation space in the tail of ammunition,the socket can only be installed in the side of the ammunition.In this case,the electronic connector can only be radially separated.Based on the working characteristics of radially separable electronic connector,this paper studied key technologies of separation electronic connector and developed a connector which can be separated radially.Main contents are as follows:(1)The performances and design objectives of the separation electronic connector are analyzed.The design schemes of key components for separation electronic connector are developed,including contact parts,locking and separating mechanism,shell,sealer,guide mechanism,etc.(2)To study forces inside the pin component and between the pin and the jack during radially separation,as well as the design method for parameters of springs,the mechanical properties of separation electronic connector were theoretically analyzed.At first,the elastic sheet model in the pin component was simplified,the pressure formula of the elastic sheet when it is stretched was derived,so the relationships among the inserted force,the equivalent stress and the slot width,thickness,length and nosing size were obtained.Secondly,the radial separation force of scalable contact was calculated,then the relationship between the minimum separation driving force and contact pressure was obtained.At last,the design methods of the compression spring of the contact,the compression spring of the pressing sleeve,the return spring of the pull bar and the limit spring of the locking sleeve were studied.(3)In order to investigate the contact condition of the jack,the influence of parameters selection on insertion force as well as equivalent stress,the paper analyzed the insertion and removal of the pin in the jack by ANSYS Workbench nonlinear finite element simulation.The structural parameters set in the theoretical calculation were used in the simulation.The total deformation of the elastic sheet,the change of the maximum equivalent stress,the equivalent stress distribution of the inner and outer surface of the elastic sheet,the contact condition of the contact part and the change of inserted force were simulated.The results were compared with the theoretical calculation by changing the structure parameters of the jack.The influence of different parameters on the inserted force and the equivalent stress was studied,and the design rules were deduced.(4)In this paper,a new type of contact structure was proposed.In order to study the temperature distribution of contact,ANSYS Workbench is used for thermoelectric coupling simulation.By changing the contact resistance value,the ambient temperature and the rated current through the contact,the design rules were concluded from simulation results.
