Research Of Configuration Optimization Of Arc Suppression Coil

Arc suppression coil installed in the neutral point of the distribution network can give inductive current to compensate the capacitor current in the point of accident, therefore residual current of point of accident become small then electric arc is extinguished to prevent the expansion of the accident and eliminate accidents. But some of the arc suppressing coil failed to reach the capacity for practical application because of the bad configuration of the arc suppression coil. Therefore, the are suppression coil configuration optimization is studied in this paper, the main work is as follows:(1)The characteristics and problems of arc suppression coil in Qinhuangdao is analysed, and the adjustable capacitive automatic tracking compensation arc suppression coil should be developed for Qinhuangdao distribution network.(2)The characteristics of neutral point of arc suppression coil and resistor in parallel for the grounding system of lOkV power net. Simulation indicates that the resistance is too large, then the damping rate is small, and over-voltage occurs; resistance is too small, then the damping rate is too large, and large residual current is bad for extinguishment of electric arc. Either in the overcompensation or in the under compensation, large out-of-resonance degree will cause too much oscillation over voltage fault phase voltage. small out-of-resonance degree can make fault phase voltage rise slowly, over compensation state is slightly better than under compensation state.(3)It is studied by PSPICE how the arc suppression coil effect the system parameters. the system parameters are derived shunt resistor voltage of neutral point, current through the shunt resistor, zero order current of non-grounded line and zero order current of grounding line.
